Creative Thinking

Untangling the knot to get things moving.

Let’s see the possibilities

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t having ideas; it’s knowing which one matters. I draw on nearly thirty years of pattern recognition and leadership across artistic practice, entrepreneurship, facilitation and creative direction to uncover possibilities and help you decide priorities.

Every conversation is different, but we’ll usually explore three things:

Listening: What's really going on beneath the words?

Exploring: Where are the possibilities hiding?

Focusing: What needs to happen next?

We might use questions, sketches, stories, references or whatever helps us see the situation differently. Sometimes we’ll leave with a decision. Sometimes a plan. Sometimes we’ll discover the real challenge was hiding somewhere else.

Whatever’s bothering you, bring me the knot: we’ll unravel it together over tea and biscuits.

The impact of working together

“My head is already spinning. I absolutely love the way you’ve helped me start loving writing again after feeling a bit battered and bruised by the broadcasting world I've been inhabiting for the last 30-odd years.”

Bridget Hurst. Screenwriter turned playwright.

"What impressed me most was the way you spotted a thread in what I was saying and invited me to lean into it. That kind of attentive listening and thoughtful prompting made the whole conversation feel natural and helped me express myself in a way that felt grounded and true."

Natalie Bedford. Artist.
