Getting bold with a brand as ambitious as its people

Old Mill

Helping an established accountancy firm stand out by revealing the ambition and humanity behind the numbers.

The Problem

One of the South West's largest accountancy firms had outgrown its brand. It felt dated, blended into the competition and no longer reflected the ambition of the business or the clients it wanted to attract.

The Possibility

The answer wasn't to make the firm look bigger; it was to make it feel more distinctive. By uncovering the story at the heart of the business, we created a bold brand that reflects Old Mill's belief that every person and business has the potential to grow.

Creative thinking, directing, making

Defined a sharper brand position, simplified the service architecture, and developed a distinctive messaging framework and tone of voice. Led the rebrand across strategy, copy, design direction, and campaign assets.

The impact

A more distinctive and consistent brand that supported rapid growth, strengthened employee engagement and improved onboarding. The rebrand was also shortlisted for a CIM Award, recognising the strength of the work and its impact.

“Toby and his talented team made our rebrand project such a positive experience. He brought a fresh perspective, delivered beyond expectations, captured the essence of our brand philosophy beautifully, and brought Old Mill to life with his unique storytelling style. The result is a bold, modern and engaging brand that sets us apart.”

“Toby and his team were great to work with. He challenged us, brought a fresh perspective, met all tight deadlines and always looked a few steps ahead, ensuring we got better, longer-term, cost-effective results. The standard of the work is only surpassed by him as a person. He made the whole experience fun, and I would highly recommend him.”
